Andrea McKenzie appeared on ITV news and added her voice to the call for specialised services for benzodiazepine users in relation to a parliamentary meeting hosted in the house of commons on november 7th 2006. This event was hosted by Barry Haslam's Beat the Benzo's. Many MPs and victims attended the event which had Professor Heather Ashton and a NHS drug and alcohol worker David McCone as the main speakers.
Also appearing on this video broadcast was a spokesperson for Battle Against Tranquillisers. She called for doctors to work and cooperate with voluntary benzodiazepine specialised groups and to refer more patients to such groups.
